How long has Seeds and Hands been operating?

Seeds and Hands was founded in 2017, starting with a focus on single-origin spices from the Western Ghats of Kerala. We have been delivering to customers across India and internationally for over 8 years.

Do you ship to the UAE and USA?

Yes. Seeds and Hands products are available to customers across India, the UAE, the USA, and Russia. You can find us on Amazon India, Amazon UAE, Amazon USA, Flipkart, JioMart, and Joom Russia. Orders are fulfilled through these platforms for international customers.

What is your return and replacement policy?

If your order arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it. Please contact us with a photo of the product and your order details and we will sort it out promptly. We are unable to accept returns for orders that have already been shipped where the product is in good condition.

Do you work directly with farmers?

Yes. Seeds and Hands works directly with small-scale farming families across Kerala and Assam. We visit origin regions, maintain close relationships with our farmer partners, and ensure fair value for their work. There are no middlemen in our supply chain.

Are your spices single-origin?

Yes. Every spice in the Seeds and Hands range is single-origin, meaning it comes from one specific region rather than being blended from multiple sources. This gives each product a distinct flavour profile that reflects its growing environment.

What is stingless bee honey?

Kerala Stingless Bee Honey, known locally as Cheruthen, is produced by the native stingless bee Tetragonula iridipennis. It is thinner than regular honey, naturally tangy, and has been a staple in traditional Kerala medicine for generations. It is one of the rarest and most prized honeys in India.

What is Tellicherry black pepper?

Tellicherry is the finest grade of Malabar black pepper, named after the historic port city of Thalasseri in northern Kerala. Only the largest, most mature peppercorns measuring 4.25mm or above qualify for this grade. The result is a pepper with bold aroma, citrus notes, and a warmth that is rounded rather than sharp.

What regions in Kerala do your spices come from?

Our spices come from three main regions in Kerala. Wayanad, known for cardamom, turmeric, pepper, and allspice. Idukki, known for cloves and cocoa. And the Malabar Coast, home to our Tellicherry black pepper. Each region brings a distinct character to the spices grown there.

Where do you source your spices from?

Seeds and Hands sources spices directly from farming families across Kerala's key spice-growing regions, primarily Wayanad, Idukki, and the Malabar Coast. We also source Assam tea from gardens in the Brahmaputra Valley. Every product is traceable to its origin.

What is wild turmeric and how is it different from regular turmeric?

Wild turmeric, known as Kasturi Manjal, is a variety of turmeric that grows naturally in the forests of Wayanad. Unlike regular turmeric, it has a lighter colour and a more delicate, earthy aroma. It has been used in traditional Kerala households for generations, primarily for skincare and wellness.
