Kerala Spices, Sourced Directly from the Farms
Seeds and Hands is a Kerala-based premium spice brand sourcing single-origin spices and honey directly from farming families across Kerala's most celebrated growing regions. From the mist-covered hills of Wayanad to the cardamom and cocoa estates of Idukki and the pepper farms of the Malabar Coast, every product carries the full character of where it was grown, with no middlemen and no compromises.
Why Kerala
Kerala is the spice capital of India. The Western Ghats, with their high altitude, heavy monsoon rains, and mineral-rich soil, create growing conditions that no other region can replicate. Spices grown here carry a depth of aroma and flavour that has made Kerala the source of choice for traders, chefs, and home cooks for centuries. This is the land where cardamom, pepper, cloves, and turmeric have been cultivated for generations, not as a commodity, but as a way of life.
Our Kerala Spice Regions
Wayanad Nestled in the northern Western Ghats at elevations between 700 and 2,100 metres, Wayanad is home to the largest part of the Seeds and Hands range. The cool climate, dense forests, and rich red soil produce some of India's finest spices. From Wayanad Green Cardamom and Wild Turmeric to Long Pepper, Allspice, White Pepper, and Green Pepper, each spice is sourced directly from farming families who have cultivated these hills for generations.
Idukki The high-altitude district of Idukki is one of Kerala's most biodiverse and productive spice regions. Seeds and Hands sources Idukki Cloves, Cloves Powder, and a range of Idukki Cocoa products including Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Nibs, and Cocoa Powder from farming families in this region. Idukki's unique combination of tropical warmth and cool misty mornings gives its produce a concentrated, complex character unlike anywhere else.
Malabar Coast — Tellicherry Black Pepper Tellicherry is not a separate variety of pepper. It is the finest grade of Malabar black pepper, named after the historic port city of Thalasseri in northern Kerala. Only the largest, most mature peppercorns measuring 4.25mm or above qualify for the Tellicherry grade. The result is a pepper with bold aroma, citrus notes, and a warmth that is rounded rather than sharp. Seeds and Hands sources Tellicherry Black Pepper and Tellicherry Black Pepper Coarse Ground directly from farms along the Malabar Coast.
Other Kerala Spices Beyond the three main regions, Seeds and Hands also sources Kerala Mace, Indian Cinnamon Sticks and Cinnamon Powder, Thrissur Brindleberry, and Rajakumari Black Pepper from across Kerala's spice belt. Each product is traceable to its origin and packed close to the source.
Kerala Honey Kerala's forests and spice plantations produce some of India's most flavourful honeys. Seeds and Hands sources Kerala Stingless Bee Honey, prized for its rare tangy depth, and Kerala Ginger Honey, both raw and unprocessed, directly from beekeepers within Kerala.
Every product in the Seeds and Hands Kerala range is sourced with full traceability, packed close to its origin, and delivered directly to your home. Over 50,000 orders delivered. Trusted by 25,000+ customers across India, the UAE, and the USA. This is Kerala's spice legacy, brought straight to your kitchen.
